Based on the principle of the existing Landy archimedean screw pump Landustrie recently developed a fish friendly screw pump.  The standard design has been altered at any point where eventual damage of fish may occur. These points f.e. are the entrance, the gap between flight and trough and the passage of flight along side rail. A Landy fish friendly screw pump is extremely suitable to pump up water without damaging fish (unharmed > 98%). Main purpose of this fish frienldy approach is to improve the total fish populaton by enabling an upstream and downstream fish migration.
