Open Screw Pumps
.

Open screw pumps are normally placed into a concrete,
semicircular
"open" trough.  The trough may be constructed at an angle of
inclination
of 22 to 40 degrees.  The screw pump itself is used for placing
the
grout in the trough.   Open screw pumps are the most
economical
screw pumps available.

Closed Screw Pumps
.

Enclosed screw pumps essentially utilize the same
operating
principles as open pumps but are enclosed in a tube rather than an open
trough.  Lakeside offers two models: one with a rotating outer
tube
and one with a stationary outer tube as pictured above.  Maximum
angle
is 45 degrees.
