Creating Your Brand Through Social Media

Social media marketing affords the medium to small business owner an opportunity that was only reserved for the wealthiest of companies up to a few short years ago…

Creating a rock-solid recognizable brand.

Usually when you think of branding, the iconic figures come to mind – Coke, Mercedes, etc.  For them to make it to the top of your conscious, they’ve had to spend multiples of millions of dollars over decades.

The sheer cost alone was prohibitive for the medium to small business owner in attempting to create a recognizable brand for his/her business.

With the advent of social websites, that barrier has been completely destroyed!  Now any business can quickly and easily brand themselves to millions of potential customers and reap the same rewards historically reserved for the big dogs.

The only problem is developing the right strategy for accomplishing this in your company.  In this article, I’m going to show you one way that you can use immediately to create a consistent and noticeable look through all of your social platforms.

Profile yourself

Many business owners think they need to have some kind of fancy logo in order to have an actual brand, but that couldn’t be further from the truth!

Branding yourself is by far and above the most effective way to utilize new media marketing.  Think about it, we’re talking about websites that are centered around connecting with people…not images.

We as humans have a built in desire to connect with other people, that’s why these new media sites are so popular.

So go ahead and get a nice business photo taken if you don’t have one already and put it up on all of your profiles, before long you’ll become your brand!
